Is your home properly set up to detect a fire?

8/6/2020 (Permalink)

Safety is the number one priority for new home or apartment buyers. People go out of their way to plan for all sorts of disasters or unexpected issues, one such thing is the possibility of a house fire while asleep or preoccupied.

The number one way to ensure that your home alerts you and your family in the event of a fire is to make sure that any and all smoke alarms / detectors in your home are properly set up and ready to go. This includes inside every room and in every hallway. If this was done for you when the house was built or by the previous owners then it is always a good idea to check your alarms and make sure that they have new batteries. The last thing you want is for a fire to break out but have no way of being alerted.

It is best to make it a habit to check your alarms frequently and consistently to ensure that you and your family are properly protected from a surprised house-fire.
