6/18/2019 (Permalink)

Summer is here and a few holidays are just on the horizon. It is important to understand the effects and dangers of things like fireworks and other types of pyrotechnics that you may intend on using during your celebration of these upcoming holidays.

If you intend on using fireworks or other pyrotechnics it is best that you make sure the area or areas in which you plan to set them off from or in are clear of any flammable material or debris, this can be dead grass and leaves, trash, dead bushes or branches. These things can all catch fire in the blink of an eye and the last thing you want during your holiday celebration is a fire that is out of control.

Another thing to keep in mind is the distance that you are from these displays, this is especially true if you have young children as they will likely not understand why they can't touch the cool glowing lights that ground fireworks and pyrotechnics create. Educate your youngsters and keep them away from the area in which the fireworks will be set off!
